New Year´s resolution - allow yourself to live today

For past days and nights I have been pondering what would be my New Year´s resolution. I have not been too keen on resolutions for New Year, but for some reason I have been feeling a need to make one.

I have been circling a question in my head: What is it that keeps me from fully living and enjoing myself at the present time. I am very good giving myself guidelines like,  when I am done with that, or if I get that, or If we can manage this, then.. the list is endless. These all are these very stupid things such as, I can´t by a new skirt until I lose some weight, I can´t use good nutritional value foods, because my kitchen is so small, I can´t control my clutter, because I have no storage space. My latest one for over an year has been this: I can´t come or go anywhere, because we are in middle of homebuilding. Excuses, excuses.. really petty stuff to be honest. There is always something preventing me from living right here and right now. The whole purpose of this trip - life - is in journey itself, and to keep denying that is pointless. I love having goals in my life to keep me moving, but the process itself is "that something" that makes the achievement matter. 

So my New Year´s resolution is to give myself a chance to live the life I have chosen for myself right now. I already know how small things they actually are when I put them in action.

I´ll go and add my resolution to goals, and while I am at it, might even check what goals there are written, so maybe I also take some time to evaluate how they are progressing.
